Lamps

We've got lamps:
Lamps with brass bases. Ones made with porcelain urns painted with flowers. Others of wood turned like candlesticks. Two or three with pottery shapes from the 1950's.
Mostly of a size to be used for end tables.

We have too many lamps. Some have been here for 4 years!

Time for a SALE, of course!

$1.00 for any lamp on the table in the center of the store! Come and get 'em while they last!

We have other lamps too, more recently donated. Their prices are higher, and they aren't dusty.

All our Easter decorations went out for sale this week - bunnies, chicks, fancy eggs, the works!
Our pretty Easter baskets and plastic eggs are free.

Our ever-changing selection includes, at the moment:

A new batch of 45rpm records, some from the 50's;

Black fabric, many weights and sheens, as well as some purples;

Office chairs, never used, with their showroom tags still attached;

A 1920's maple veneer dresser with mirror;

About 30 Matchbox cars and trucks, 3 made in England;

A cross cut saw, about 8' long.

Books, books, and more books

Looking for a good read? You might find a few among our 3000 books.

The free ones - older how-to books and novels, religious books and Bibles - are stashed on the shelves in the back corner of the store.

The rest - housed up front - can be had for very little:
Silouette romances are $.10 a piece.
Children's books, with rare exceptions, are $.25 each.
Novels start at $.50. Many are $1.00, including the potboilers, the mysteries, the NY Times bestsellers. Some are as much as $3.00!
The coffee table books start at $1.00. So do cook books, do-it-yourself and self-help.

We try to maintain order: horse stories here, biographies there, classics on shelves in the middle. The 'old' books have their own section as do picture books for children.

Still, we sell books every day and new books arrive all the time. Our 3000 books don't multiply but they do spill over: there is always a certain amount of chaos. And for you, the pleasure of discovery.

Computers at the Warehouse

Our computer wizards want to remind you that the used computers we have for sale are sold "as is".

We don't know how they were used or maintained, or where they lived. Were their homes dusty or greasy? Were they in storage? Did people smoke around them?
Our wizards install operating systems for evaluation purposes. They determine the original software and reinstall it again - more or less - so the computers will run. They may need upgrades by you.
Extra parts are put out for sale.

We accept computers less than 10 years old. Most come from companies, and schools when they upgrade. A few are orphaned on our doorstep.

Our wizards are volunteers. They grace us with their presence and knowledge on Saturday afternoons.
